Savant Range

Symphony follows the ball across the range. Acuity measures the golfer, club, and launch in one or two intelligent hitting areas. Aero translates the measured range-ball event into the ball the golfer actually plays.

The range-operator proposition

The range should know the complete event.

Where the ball went is only one answer. The useful event includes the golfer, club, launch, spin, full flight, landing, final rest, ball construction, atmosphere, and the meaning of the evidence.

The granted technical foundation

P3 finds what matters, then resolves it.

US 12,501,176 B2 covers a dynamic-area-of-interest camera technique in which a first sensing stage observes a broad event and a second stage captures a reduced region at higher frame rate, greater resolution, or both. The architecture can support ball, club, and body measurement without forcing every sensor to do every job.

Three connected systems

Full range. Intelligent bay. Shared physics.

01 · Savant Symphony

Full-flight evidence.

A synchronized watcher/closer network intended to preserve shot identity and measure velocity, three-dimensional trajectory, spin rate, spin axis, landing, bounce, roll, and final rest.

Target: landing and ending position within less than one foot under defined, validated configurations.

02 · Savant Acuity

Ball, club, and biomechanics.

One or two intelligent hitting areas designed to provide high-fidelity ball and club launch data together with clinical-level biomechanics measurement and knowledgeable analysis.

Clinical-level measurement is a fidelity objective. It is not clinical diagnosis.

03 · Aero

The ball the golfer actually plays.

Range balls can differ markedly from ordinary playing balls. Using measured initial conditions from Acuity or another validated source, Aero models the ball, impact response, atmosphere, and trajectory, then calculates what the golfer's selected ball—and other balls—would have done.

Measurement discipline

Position is not kinematics. A displayed number is not necessarily a measured number.

Savant Range separates direct observation, derived kinematics, aerodynamic modeling, inference, and professional interpretation.

QuestionSymphonyAcuityAero
Where is the ball?Full-range three-dimensional position through flight, landing, bounce, roll, and rest.Near-field position and launch evidence at the hitting area.Uses measured state to model the remainder of flight.
How fast and in what direction?Velocity and trajectory are full-flight development targets.High-fidelity launch direction, speed, and club-delivery evidence by configuration.Separates measured initial conditions from modeled trajectory.
How did it spin?Spin rate and spin axis are full-flight measurement targets.High-detail launch-region capture, including ball-surface evidence where configured.Maps spin state to aerodynamic forces and ball-specific flight.
What did the golfer do?Tee-area sensing can connect the golfer and club to the range-scale shot.Sequential skeletal, mesh, and surface-body biomechanics are central design targets.Connects body and club conditions to the ball result without replacing biomechanics.
Was the ball representative?Identifies the measured range ball and event.Connects equipment and session context.Translates range-ball evidence to the golfer's selected playing ball and compares alternatives.

Green-grass economics.

A full bank of covered, artificial-mat, instrumented bays is not the only model. Acuity is intended to make one or two high-value hitting areas commercially meaningful. Symphony is intended for full-range and installed-infrastructure paths where the use case warrants them.

Range-ball translation.

The golfer should not have to pretend a durable range ball is the ball used on the course. Aero is designed to translate the measured event into the selected playing ball using ball-specific aerodynamic and impact evidence.

Knowledge is the separator.

The session can contribute to MyGolfSavant, the practitioner relationship, biomechanics, fitting, equipment, practice, and Protection. The range becomes a continuing intelligence environment rather than a display of isolated numbers.
