Range-scale P3 watcher/closer network

Savant Symphony

A synchronized sensing architecture intended to follow each identified shot from its hitting area through full flight, landing, bounce, roll, and final rest.

Evidence discipline

What exists, what is being built, and what must be proven next.

Current foundation

US 12,501,176 B2, range-scale architecture, watcher/closer role separation, multi-camera geometry, and defined full-flight output targets.

Active development

Camera duties, synchronization, calibration, identity association, 3D reconstruction, spin evidence, landing and roll logic, networking, and installation models.

Next proof

Field prototypes, reference comparison, weather and light testing, throughput, occlusion handling, repeatability, sub-foot position validation, and operating economics.

Full flight, not a short trace.

Symphony is intended to preserve shot identity from origin through the entire physical event. The target outputs include velocity and three-dimensional trajectory through flight, not merely a plotted destination.

Spin rate and spin axis.

Full-flight spin rate and spin axis are explicit measurement and validation targets. The public distinction remains important: measured spin, inferred spin, and Aero-modeled consequences must never be presented as the same thing.

Landing and ending position.

Under defined, validated range geometries, Symphony is expected to target landing and final-rest position with less than one foot of error. The applicable reference, environment, shot state, and acceptance method must accompany any public accuracy claim.

The watcher finds. The closer resolves.

The broad sensing stage detects the relevant dynamic area and preserves context. A second stage concentrates higher temporal or spatial resolution where the event demands it. Heterogeneous sensors can therefore perform different jobs instead of forcing one expensive device to see everything equally.

Designed for new and existing ranges.

Symphony is being developed for both planned installations and paths that reuse appropriate existing infrastructure. Final camera count, lensing, networking, service, cost, and site requirements follow geometry and proof.

One continuing record

What this adds to MyGolfSavant.

The range-scale shot becomes part of the golfer's permitted history instead of disappearing after the display changes.

Measures

Shot origin, identity, velocity, trajectory, spin evidence, landing, bounce, roll, rest, ball, and conditions by configuration.

Interprets

Direct measurement, derived kinematics, modeled state, confidence, anomalies, and ball-specific physics.

Remembers

The golfer, range, hitting area, club, ball, atmosphere, event, outputs, limits, and later response.

Changes next

The full-flight event can inform practice, instruction, fitting, playing-ball decisions, and facility relationships.
